This is a draft of a recipe I wrote about a year ago. I am no longer a meat eater (unless no one is looking), and I am cutting down on the cream (again if no one is looking). Amazing how little some things change

Ok, so I said that I was minced pied out. Well that remains, however, just because I’m tired of making them, it doesn’t mean that I am tired of eating them. Well not as tired at least as eating turkey. Do you know how utterly depressing it is to open your fridge door everyday to be confronted with the enormous, never ending carcass of turkey? I love turkey, but a turkey is for Christmas, not for life!
Thank goodness for the mince pies. I made loads, most went to good homes and eventually tummies, as did most of my back up stash when requests for seconds came in.
However I still have a few left and in order to spice things up a little I came up with this simple recipe. Hope you like it
Ingredients:
- sugar
- single cream
- chai mix (recipe here)
Method:
- In a heavy based saucepan heat the sugar until just turning golden brown
- Carefully add the cream and stir until well combined.
- Stir in the chai mix and serve warm with hot mince pies.
