It is a good idea to write off the 1st of January, because let’s face it, we are either too hungover, too heavy due to the previous week’s Christmas feast or just too tired or lazy to be of any use to anyone after a night of loud fireworks and merriment.
Therefore let the 2nd of January be the true start of 2011.
My resolutions this year are:
1) Finish off my courses – interior design and garden design
2) Blog more
3) Do more exercise
4) Take more photographs
5) Do monthly resolutions in addition to annual resolutions, which are usually broken by the end of the first week of the year.
It is this monthly resolutions idea which has given me a light bulb moment. Why only make annual resolutions? A year is a long time, 1 month is more manageable and realistic. So in addition, my monthly ones for January are:
1) Sort out clothes for charity, mending, discarding etc
2) Continue my quest to blog more
3) Make a chocolate cake
Im particularly looking forward to (eating) the last one LOL.
