These easy to make loaves make great gifts, just double the quality to make 8 loaves, and place in a wicker basket wrapped in a pretty tea towel. Great to eat with cheese and ham. A great standby recipe if you run out of bread and havent got time to make a yeasted bread. The recipe makes 4 mini loaves.
2 cups self raising flour
240ml larger or bitter
1.Preheat the oven to 180°C/gas mark 4.
2.Sift the flour and salt into a mixing bowl.
3.Add the beer and quickly stir until well combined. The dough should be soft but not runny.
4.Divide the dough equally between 4 non-stick mini loaf tins.
5.Bake for 20 minutes, the loaves should be well risen and golden brown on the top.
