Take 3 ingredients: Halloumi with Sesame Seeds

Despite liking cheese, I don’t often eat halloumi, feta or mozzarella.  Like most, I tend to stick to hard cheese such as Cheshire, Cheddar, Parmesan or cream cheeses. This is an easy recipe to give halloumi a different twist

Ingredients:

Halloumi

Sesame seeds

Garlic oil

Method:

  1. Slice the cheese into 1cm think pieces. Don’t worry if the cheese slices split.
  2. Add a drizzle of garlic oil in the pan and heat.
  3. Drizzle the cheese with some more garlic oil, then cover the cheese with the sesame seeds.
  4. Pan fry for about 1 min each side, until the cheese and the seeds are golden brown.

Serve with tomatoes, olives and/or a green salad.
