Hello again! A few more ideas today for table settings for Easter celebrations.
Here’s Cluckie again – I’ve made a napkin pocket, placed the cutlery inside and attached Cluckie the chick on top with 2 golden baubles on a wire. Designed with children in mind, please note this is not suitable for children under the age of 6. We don’t want them eating these decorations! Mind you, if you are young at heart, there is no reason why adults can’t use this idea too. The chicks only cost me a £2 for 6 at a local supermarket, and they have proved to be quite versatile.
Above are a couple of sewing ideas to jazz up plain napkins for the Easter table. During the sales, I try to purchase a set of plain white or cream cotton or linen napkins. You can then embellish them with decorations to match your decor or the specific event. Here, I had some yellow and green rick rack in my sewing box and was playing around with edging ideas. A simple running stitch on the sewing machine can transform a set of plain napkins in minutes.
If you don’t fancy sewing, then another simple idea is to purchase some brightly coloured hair ties and use them as napkin rings. In the shops they have a huge range of flower hair decorations, which can be easily adapted to co-ordinate with your table decor.
Back tomorrow with more ideas, and Cluckie’s family!
