OK so it’s only Tuesday, but there is a double treat for gardeners and foodies this weekend to look forward too.
This Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st, Queen Elizabeth Hall will be the venue for a programme of performances and events celebrating the Land of Britain. I mentioned the roof garden as being a highlight of the Festival of Britain, so this should be a good place to visit.
Venue: Queen Elizabeth Hall Roof Garden, Southbank
Time: 11am – 6pm
On Sunday 21st only, in conjunction with Capital Bee and supported by The Cooperative, the London Honey Festival will be a celebration of all things honey – including tastings, films and market stalls.
Venue: The Clore Ballroom, Royal Festival Hall
Time: 12noon – 4pm
Both are free to attend. If you go, please report back and let everyone know what you thought of it.
