As the title suggests, I’m setting myself a new challenge, that of making my very own sourdough bread. I’m even making my own yeast culture! The challenge should last a week, so I would love it if you would follow my experiment and even join in.
The first task is making the sourdough culture. Now I warn you, this is a very difficult and complex procedure. (Ahem!)
- 80 g (1/4 cup) plain flour
- 80 g (1/4 cup) water
- In a large sealable jar, mix the flour and water together.
- Seal the jar and store in a warm place until tomorrow.
It’s hard work all this, I’m off for a lie down. See you tomorrow 😀
